Carrot review: it brings sellers to you, and its own customers are angry about one repricing

Updated September 2026. Independent. Carrot did not see this before publication.

Websites and SEO rather than property data, so it makes sellers come to you instead of you going to county records. Its only third-party score is 3.1 on Trustpilot from twelve reviews, and almost all of that anger is about one repricing rather than the product.

What independent reviewers actually say about Carrot

G2 None No reviewsno listing for this Carrot
Trustpilot 3.1/5 12 reviewstwelve reviews, claimed profile
App Store None No ratingsno app exists
Google Play None No ratingsno app exists

A hatched bar rests on fewer than 30 ratings or reviews.

Three of the four slots are empty and not one of them is a gap in our work. G2 has no listing for this Carrot, and there is no app on either store, which is exactly what a website platform should look like. That leaves Trustpilot at 3.1 from 12 reviews, a small base. Read the next two sections before you read much into it.

What you get

What Carrot actually does

Carrot sells real estate investor websites, the SEO meant to make them rank, and a CRM to catch whatever arrives. InvestorCarrot, the name you will still see used for it, was Carrot’s name for its investor product rather than a different company. The Individual plan is one hosted site from an AI builder, 50 auto-created location pages, rank tracking for 35 keywords, an SEO audit, Search Console integration and CarrotCRM Free.

It suits real estate investors who would rather motivated sellers arrived than go looking for them, and who can wait for SEO to compound. It is the opposite half of the problem PropStream solves. Carrot brings sellers to you, PropStream helps you go and find them, and plenty of people run both.

The $119 buys one website. A second is $39/mo and Premium Support is another $69/mo, so an investor running two markets with support lands nearer $227/mo than $119. Annual takes Individual to $99/mo, or $1,188 a year, saving $240. There is no trial to test any of it against. What exists instead is a 30 day money-back guarantee, which means you pay first and ask for it back afterwards.

The fine print

What Carrot does not put on the pricing page

Three things, and the first one is the actual decision.

The repricing is what to weigh, not the price

Trustpilot reviewers describe grandfathered plans being cancelled and features moved behind higher tiers. One: "Carrot cancelled all their old pricing models and broke up their plans so that the cost to host our website with all their new features skyrocketed." Another: "We are locked out of these new features requiring us to pay a higher price point to get access back to them." A third calls it "a big money grab."

The prices above are current and verified. The risk being described is not what it costs today, it is what happens to your plan later. That matters more here than it would elsewhere, because a site you have spent two years ranking is not something you can pick up and move.

Look up Carrot reviews and you will find the wrong company

The name is badly overloaded. G2’s /products/carrot/ page is Carrot Fertility, an employee benefits company. Google Play’s top result for carrot is a London minicab app. Apple’s is a weather app.

None of them is this product, and all of them have ratings that look quotable. Check the vendor name against any Carrot score you see, including scores quoted on other review sites, because this is an easy one to get wrong.

It is not all anger, and the split is not random

A reviewer who has used it since September 2016 writes that they have "acquired hundreds of real estate deals off Carrot leads" and recommends it.

The 3.1 rests on twelve reviews, and the two camps in them divide cleanly: the complaints cluster on the repricing, and the praise comes from people who have been there long enough for the SEO to have compounded. Carrot also replies publicly to complaints and gives a named contact.

What Carrot is bad at

From twelve Trustpilot reviews, which is a small base and the only third-party base this product has. Read the count, not just the themes.

  1. The repricing burned existing customers

The dominant theme by some distance. Multiple reviewers report old plans cancelled outright and features moved behind higher tiers. "It was a big money grab."

    Trustpilot

  2. Support takes sharp criticism

"Customer support is an absolute JOKE. Good luck getting a meeting, and when you do get one... better hope the person actually shows up." Set that against the fact that Carrot answers complaints publicly and offers a named contact.

    Trustpilot

  3. There is no trial, so you pay first

A 30 day money-back guarantee is the only way back out, and it puts the work of asking on you rather than the work of convincing on them.

    Carrot pricing page

  4. Costs stack past the headline

$39 for every extra site and $69 for premium support, both on top of the $119.

    Carrot pricing page

  5. One reviewer calls it overpriced for what it is

"too restrictive and costs too much to operate for a overhyped wordpress clone."

    Trustpilot

  6. It holds no property data at all

No county records, no skip tracing, no off-market lists. That is the category rather than a defect, but if you came here for data, it rules Carrot out on its own.

    The product itself

Be honest with yourself

Who should not buy Carrot

  • You need off-market data. Wrong category entirely, and no amount of SEO fixes that.
  • You want to test before paying. There is no trial, only a guarantee you have to claim.
  • You cannot absorb a plan change. The documented history is exactly that.
  • You need leads this month. SEO does not work on that timescale, and nobody selling it can make it.

Common questions

Carrot questions people actually ask

How much is Carrot per month?

Individual is $119/mo, or $99/mo paid annually at $1,188 a year. An Agency tier appears at $299/mo and its annual rate is not published. Extra websites are $39/mo each and Premium Support is $69/mo on top.

Does Carrot have a free trial?

No. It offers a 30 day money-back guarantee instead, so you pay up front and claim it back if you want out. That is a meaningfully different thing from a trial, because the burden of acting sits with you.

Why is Carrot’s Trustpilot score so low?

Almost entirely because of one repricing. Reviewers describe grandfathered plans being cancelled and features paywalled behind higher tiers. The 3.1 sits on twelve reviews, and the positive ones come from long-tenured users, including one since 2016 who reports hundreds of deals from it.

Does Carrot provide property data?

No. No county records, no skip tracing, no lists. It builds a site that ranks so sellers contact you, which is the opposite direction of travel from every data tool on this site.

Is Carrot the same as Carrot Fertility?

No, and this trips people up constantly. Carrot Fertility is an employee benefits company and it is what G2 lists under /products/carrot/. There is also a London minicab app and a weather app using the name. Check the vendor on any rating before you trust it.

Is Carrot the same as InvestorCarrot?

Yes. InvestorCarrot was the name Carrot used for its product for real estate investors. The company behind it has always been Carrot, today Carrot, LLC at carrot.com, and you will still see both names used for the same thing.

What is CarrotCRM?

It is InvestorFuse, a CRM for real estate investors that Carrot bought in 2022 and renamed. InvestorFuse’s own site calls CarrotCRM the same CRM with a new color scheme, and says existing InvestorFuse accounts are still maintained. The Individual plan includes the free tier of CarrotCRM.

Is Carrot worth it?

If you can wait out SEO and you want inbound rather than outbound, it is the only tool here built for that, and its long-term users are its strongest advocates. If you need leads soon, or you cannot tolerate your plan being restructured, the documented history says think hard.

What we did not do. We have not subscribed to Carrot. The Agency tier’s annual price is not published and the CRM-only track is priced separately, so neither is quoted above. One thing worth knowing: the pricing page served an A/B test variant when we read it, so check the figure yourself before you buy rather than trusting ours to still be the one you are shown.
