- DealMachine’s skip tracing page shows each trace using one credit. It does not publish a price for going past a seat’s credits, so the heavy month uses a Pro seat.
- BatchLeads counts the leads you pull, and each lead past the allowance is 4¢.
- One person tracing only: DealMachine’s seat is $20 lower up to 10,000 traces a month. BatchLeads is lower between 10,000 and about 10,750, where its 4¢ overage meets DealMachine’s step up to $149. DealMachine is lower again from there to 20,000.
- A fourth BatchLeads user means Professional at $349, which holds eight. Four DealMachine seats cost $396.
So count the people first. Alone, DealMachine’s seat costs less for tracing at almost any volume, and BatchLeads pulls ahead once postcards go out. From two people up to eight, BatchLeads costs less: two DealMachine seats are $198 against $119, and eight are $792 against Professional’s $349.

Driving for dollars: both have an app
DealMachine is built around driving for dollars, and every plan includes it: route tracking, team driving, tap-to-tag and instant owner lookups. BatchLeads has driving for dollars in its mobile app too, plus what it calls virtual driving for dollars.
The rating bases differ more than the scores. DealMachine’s iOS app is rated 4.79 from 5,002 ratings and BatchLeads’ 4.67 from 717. On Google Play BatchLeads scores higher, 4.7 against 4.4, from 229 ratings against 1,930.
Each has a complaint worth knowing about. A DealMachine Android reviewer says the map locks after an accidental tap, which is hard to undo while driving. A BatchLeads iOS reviewer says the app and the website disagree on whether a house is vacant.
Skip tracing: credits against leads
Both put contact data in the price and both give you 10,000 a month on the entry plan, counted differently. A DealMachine seat carries 10,000 data credits, a trace uses one, and the same credits pay for property lookups. A BatchLeads Growth account carries 10,000 leads, and the phone numbers and emails come with each one.
The difference shows past the allowance and across people. BatchLeads charges 4¢ for each extra lead, and its 10,000 are shared by three users. DealMachine publishes no rate past a seat’s credits, so going further means Pro, 20,000 credits for $149, or another seat, and each seat has its own credits.
Trials, cancelling and who owns them
DealMachine offers no free trial as of September 2026, although older reviews still describe one, so the first paid month is the test. BatchLeads offers 7 days on its individual plans, and billing starts automatically when they end.
Leaving differs too. BatchLeads lets you cancel from your account settings, with no partial refund for the month you are in. DealMachine publishes no pause option, and one Google Play reviewer says holding the account costs $24 a month. DealMachine says it allows pro-rated refunds.
BatchLeads has belonged to PropStream since July 2025, and PropStream to Stewart Information Services. DealMachine is run by DealMachine Operations, Inc. in Indianapolis, with no parent company we could find.
